Job Description The Team SEEK Pass is a trusted digital passport used by over 3 million people to manage and share their verified identity, credentials, and documents. We aim to integrate across the HR ecosystem to provide more value, security, and convenience for individuals and organisations in employment-related processes. Our primary use case today is helping job seekers to stand out on SEEK by pre-verifying their qualifications, licences, and other credentials so that employers can shortlist them with confidence and speed. We operate as a distinct cross-functional business unit, with integrations into SEEK’s job marketplaces across Asia-Pacific. About the role Our teams build products and solutions for internal and external customers across SEEK Pass and the wider SEEK Group. As an ML Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge machine learning models (OCR, IQA, Document Classification, Fraud Detection, Face Recognition, etc.), leveraging data to drive impactful solutions. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, applying your expertise to design, optimize, and deploy scalable algorithms, enhancing our products and services through the power of artificial intelligence. Some of the technology we're using includes Python, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, along with a strong focus on machine learning and AI, leveraging AWS SageMaker, AWS Lambda, and many other AWS services, LoRA, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, and scikit-learn. We work extensively with LLMs for multi-modal tasks, including computer vision and document understanding. Qualifications For this role, we have a very open mind in terms of specific work experience. Here are some things we would regard highly: Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, with a solid understanding of algorithms, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques. Mastery in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and model implementation. Proficiency in utilizing frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras to build and deploy neural networks and deep learning models. Strong skills in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis (EDA) using tools like Pandas, NumPy, or similar libraries. Ability to evaluate model performance, optimize algorithms, and fine-tune parameters to achieve desired outcomes. Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS, GCP, or Azure) and experience deploying ML models in production environments would be a significant advantage. A passion for continuous learning, adaptability to evolving technologies, and a drive to explore new methodologies and tools in the ML landscape.
