Job description Position Description We are inviting applications for the position of Vice-Principal at Alwin Holland Elementary School effective August 1, 2025. We will be accepting applications until 4:30 pm on Monday, April 7, 2025. Alwin Holland has a student population of over 200 students, with approximately 30% being Indigenous. Our school is an inner-city school characterized by considerable diversity. We are looking for an individual with the following Personal and Professional Characteristics: High level of self-regulation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Committed to Truth & Reconciliation and Indigenous student success Determined to improve student achievement and well-being (SEL) Positive and professional demeanor Thoughtful and reflective A lead-learner in their role Committed to personal and professional development Has a sense of humour and likes to have fun A team-builder committed to collaboration and inquiry Understands the importance of process and uses a robust framework with a learning evidence dashboard for decision-making Additionally, we are looking for an individual with the following attributes: Five years of successful elementary or secondary teaching experience. This position will involve a significant teaching assignment. Experience in supporting extracurricular activities - i.e. sports, fine arts, etc. Experience in working with parents as educational partners. Experience in building an inclusive classroom and school environment.
