Managing significant port land, wharves, and channels under a lease from the Victorian Government, they play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of trade and supporting the Australian economy.About the Role: As Maintenance Contracts Manager in the Asset Maintenance team, you will apply your proven technical expertise to the development and delivery of preventative maintenance programs, minor capital projects and reactive works across a wide range of assets including roads, buildings, open spaces, parks, water/wastewater infrastructure and drainage.Key Responsibilities: Manage delivery of programmed maintenance works by contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution of key contract deliverables. Provide technical advice to support the development, delivery and continuous improvement of maintenance strategies and asset management plans in line with industry best practices. Provide full project life-cycle management for preventive maintenance programs and reactive works. Conduct monitoring, data collection and analysis to identify trends, predict failures and optimise maintenance strategies. Maintain and develop strong internal/external stakeholder relationships to enable effective delivery of business objectives. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant technical experience. Extensive experience managing or delivering maintenance programs and minor works for an asset owner. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to develop and improve asset maintenance documentation and processes. Other Requirements: Current Victorian Driver’s License. Willingness to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC), which will be arranged by Port of Melbourne if successful. What’s on Offer: Competitive Salary + Incentive.
