Maintenance Fitter (Day and Afternoon shift) Our client is seeking two Maintenance Fitters for their high-speed manufacturing facility located on the border! Reporting to the Supervisor, this is a diverse and varied role where you will be working closely with the Maintenance Team. Responsibilities of the role will include but will not be limited to: Troubleshooting, fault finding, machine inspections, and maintaining all plant, machines, and equipment in good working order. Attending to repairs and breakdowns to ensure the set-up and repair of machines meet requirements of production standards. Maintaining a high presence in the continuous improvement process to reduce downtimes and seeking to maximize the outage opportunities to improve upon equipment maintenance. Ensuring that all preventative maintenance is carried out as per the planned schedule. Maintaining awareness and commitment to employment and legislative responsibilities in relation to safety, quality, and the environment. What you will bring to the team: As an experienced Maintenance Fitter, you will have: A mechanical trade qualification, with demonstrated technical experience in general engineering maintenance. Familiarity with working in a manufacturing environment (medium or heavy industrial environment experience will be highly regarded). Exceptional ability for fault finding and diagnostics, able to read and mark up engineering drawings. Strong written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to the safety of yourself and others above all else.
