Maintenance Manager - UniLodge South Bank We're on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our UniLodge South Bank team on a FT basis! 04th February, 2025 UniLodge specialise in student accommodation and have been an industry market leader since 1996. THE ROLE We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our UniLodge Southbank team on a full-time basis. In your new role you will perform and oversee the facilities and building maintenance services at the property, ensuring that UniLodge comply with all codes and regulations, meet service requirements, and ensure a safe and secure work environment for all building occupants and visitors. Additional responsibilities will include: Permanent full-time position - 38hrs across a Monday to Friday roster Additional hours may be required for urgent works, modification & emergency call outs Manage the overall maintenance of the apartments, common areas and building exterior Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Operate within agreed company health and safety procedures and to always follow industry and statutory regulations Maintain the highest level of maintenance, safety and security at all times Establish systems and procedures to facilitate preventative maintenance programs Record, report and assist the General Manager to manage all building defects Assist other staff and residents with training in preventative maintenance and any health and safety issues Assist in the formulation of maintenance budgets year on year Liaise with the General Manager and carry out apartment departure inspections and repairs Manage the work of external contractors and provide progress updates to General Manager Obtain all warranties and operations manuals for all plants and equipment ABOUT YOU: Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following: Similar experience in general property and grounds maintenance and repairs (including electrical, plumbing installations and building maintenance) Trade qualification will be highly regarded Confident computer skills including ability to use various systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Effective verbal and written communication skills You will have a 'safety first' mindset, and an understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handling Class C Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle Current First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willing to obtain QLD Working with Children's Check (Blue Card), or be willing to obtain Valid National Police Check obtained within the last 3 months, or willing to obtain Valid work rights in Australia WHY UNILODGE Across our workforce we have built an enviable culture of trust, engagement, collaboration , and fun .
