About the Role At John Flynn Retirement Village in 2-6 Foundation Boulevard, Burwood East, Melbourne, Victoria, we have an exciting opportunity to join our experienced team as a Maintenance Person. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 0800 - 1600. Our maintenance team are more than just handy people. They work closely with residents and the village team to ensure the safety, repair, and appearance of buildings, equipment, facilities, and grounds. From hanging residents' treasured pictures in their homes to undertaking refurbishments within our apartments; the opportunities are endless at Ryman. In this role you will: Work in a team providing the village with an effective maintenance/preventative maintenance service ensuring the safety, repair, and appearance of buildings, equipment, facilities, and grounds. Assist residents in their homes with repairs and maintenance. Ensure that all health and safety policies are adhered to, to ensure the safety of residents, staff, and visitors. About You To thrive in our varied environment you will have: Previous experience in a Maintenance role, a trade qualification, or just completed an apprenticeship. Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude. Proven customer service skills and ability to build rapport with residents.
