Job Description As the Maintenance & Reliability Manager, you'll oversee the maintenance team, including a Maintenance Supervisor, skilled tradespeople, apprentices, and support staff. You’ll be the driving force behind maintaining plant efficiency and reliability, ensuring operational success while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture. Step into this pivotal leadership role at our Cooma processing facility, located in a friendly small town just an hour from Canberra. Relocation packages are available to make your transition seamless, and you’ll join a team committed to excellence and innovation in the food processing sector. What You'll Do: Lead and mentor a dynamic team of tradespeople, skilled labour, and apprentices. Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to plan and execute maintenance operations. Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime. Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. Manage resources and budgets to ensure cost-effective solutions while meeting operational needs. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues with a hands-on approach. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. Desired Skills and Experience What We’re Looking For: Previous experience as a Maintenance & Reliability Manager within the food industry or similar. Trade-qualified in fitting machinist or boilermaker. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate team members. Hands-on experience in planning and executing maintenance operations. Results-oriented with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain. Operate Standard Boiler HRW licence or willingness to obtain. Operate Ammonia Plant licence or willingness to obtain. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
