About the Role In this pivotal role, you will closely support the Finance Business Partner (FBP) - Residential Services within the Finance Business Partnering (FBP) team, serving as a strategic advisor to the Residential business unit within Baptcare's Services & Operations division. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial sustainability and growth of our organisation. Key duties include: Efficiently support month-end tasks with experience and maturity in managing multiple tasks and volumes. Review month-end activities and proficiently handle accrual preparation. Prepare periodic reporting, demonstrating skills, managing volume, adhering to timelines, and being accountable for meeting deadlines. Investigate variances as directed, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of financial discrepancies and have the ability to articulate the rationale efficiently. Provide support for grants, including assistance with collection, reconciliation, and analysis of data for grant submissions (e.g., COVID grant 2024 submissions). Assist with the development, production, and modification of KPI reports, conducting necessary investigations (e.g., Additional Services, OBD). Review payroll data, identify misallocations, and organise correction in a timely manner. Demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset and adaptability to new tasks and changing stakeholder requirements. Prepare, organise reviews and process month-end journals accurately and in a timely manner. Reconciliation of income accruals to actual payments received on a monthly basis and prioritising resolution including necessary actions efficiently. Reconcile utility, food, cleaning, and maintenance costs to maintain accurate financial records. Review variances, articulate findings, and suggest appropriate actions. Maintain grants summary, conduct thorough review and reconciliation of grant remittances and reporting and resolve any issues in an efficient and timely manner. Qualifications and Experience Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance Accounting. Strong financial acumen, including a comprehensive understanding of financial and management accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Previous experience in effectively managing Month End processes, preparing accruals, working with disparate data, and conducting variance analysis. Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Excel, showcasing the ability to utilise complex features such as pivot tables, advanced formulas, Business Intelligence, and data visualisation tools. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex financial information in a succinct manner. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding deadlines, ability to manage competing priorities, work efficiently under pressure, and deliver high-quality outputs within agreed-upon timeframes. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, with a proven capacity to investigate variances, articulate findings, and contribute meaningful solutions.
