About the Role: You’ll manage and lead the delivery of high quality, client focused services for people residing at the Adult Supported Accommodation Facilities (ASAFs) across the state. The Manager will provide support, supervision and direction to the ASAFs. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with service partners and other key stakeholders. This role involves statewide travel. The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas: High level understanding of the issues relating to homelessness, poverty, unemployment, substance use, and other factors that impact on vulnerable or at risk people; including the concept of social justice and the political context in which the program operates; Theoretical understanding of different counselling and conflict resolution practices as well as demonstrated counselling and supervisory experience; Knowledge of Government regulations and other statutory requirements that are applicable to tenancy legislation, family violence, mandatory reporting and the provision of services for vulnerable people; Able to use initiative and be resilient including the ability to maintain a positive outlook, see the ‘bigger picture’, identify opportunities and implement solutions. This also includes sound time management skills with the ability to set priorities in a busy work environment; Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a professional team including team debriefing, program planning activities, staff training and development and a variety of team based consultative processes; Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and represent Anglicare in the local community; An understanding of and an empathy with Anglicare’s mission and values; and Sound computer skills, in particular the ability to operate word processing and database management software packages. Completion of a Social Work Degree or other relevant tertiary qualification and clearly demonstrated extensive experience attained through appointments, service and/or study. Previous senior or supervisory experience is also required. What we offer you: $ 107,731 to $ 112,473 per annum plus super; not-for-profit salary packaging available that can increase your take home pay; a 7% Graduate Loading payable where you hold a degree in a relevant discipline; a friendly and supportive work environment; The successful applicant will be required to: provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check if you are applying for the 1st time or have renewed your registration since 1st February 2021; present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people/probity type Nationally Coordinated Police Check (no older than 12 months); provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16; provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical; provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
