We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated finance professional to join the Finance section as a Manager - Financial Reporting and Budgeting. The Finance Section is led by the Chief Financial Officer, who reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Branch. The section collaborates with the business to manage internal and external budgetary requirements, deliver current and relevant financial information and advice to stakeholders, and provide products and services including budget management, financial statements, cost recovery management, external/internal reporting, accounts processing, treasury and procurement advice. The priorities of the section actively support the areas of focus in the agency’s Corporate Plan and the agency’s strategic objectives while delivering best practice financial administration. About the Role The Manager, Financial Reporting and Budgeting requires comprehensive knowledge of financial practices in the Commonwealth Government. This role involves leading and managing the Agency's Financial Reporting and External Budgeting functions, as well as overseeing a team responsible for Financial Business Partnering. The Manager will support the CFO in areas such as cost recovery, financial operations, procurement, and costing. Additionally, the role requires partnering with the agency executive to ensure operational excellence and a cohesive approach to financial management. The Manager will also act as the Chief Financial Officer during periods of absence, ensuring continuity in financial leadership, management, and decision-making for the Agency and its senior executives.
