System Development/Strategic Policy and Planning This is a Permanent Full Time appointment. The Mental Health Commission is establishing a dedicated team to progress policy, strategy and planning initiatives to improve social and emotional wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal people, particularly as they relate to alcohol and other drug use and mental health. We are currently recruiting three roles: Manager Aboriginal Policy (50d) PSA Level 7 About the role This position manages the Aboriginal Affairs policy portfolio for the Commission and supports the Associate Director Aboriginal Policy in establishing and implementing mechanisms to provide strategic cultural advice for the Commission to ensure the design and delivery of services are culturally safe and responsive to the needs of Aboriginal communities across WA. This position works across the Commission to coordinate the Aboriginal policy portfolio. In undertaking the role of this position, the occupant will need to recognise that there is a commitment to focusing on the needs of the individual, their families, carers or advocates working in partnership for better alcohol and other drug outcomes and improved mental health.
