We currently have the opportunity for a Manager, Architecture and Security to join the Information Technology Digital Services team on an ongoing basis reporting to the Head of Information Technology and Digital Systems (ITDS). The role provides a strategic College-wide approach to technology, to design and deliver solutions and services to enable learning and teaching with a focus on continually improving student, staff and partner experiences. The role is pivotal in shaping the future target state technology and digital landscape for UTS College and for overseeing the organisation’s cyber security program and security posture. About the Role This position is responsible for: Providing expert advice on the development of ITDS strategy, infrastructure, systems and tools. Manage the business capability model and define the target state architecture, recurring IT roadmap lifecycle and support the alignment of the ITDS strategy with the UTS College business goals and outcomes. Developing and maintaining architecture frameworks, principles and guidelines to ensure enterprise-level consistency, scalability and quality across technology and services. Delivering and supporting IT architecture, infrastructure, operating platforms, applications and devices that meet current and future needs of staff and students and maintain appropriate levels of cyber security. Producing well defined, well documented, viable, and cost-effective enterprise and solution architectures, aligned to stakeholder requirements, within agreed deliverable timelines. Building and maintaining the enterprise architecture landscape including the product/service/asset lifecycle management approach and lifecycle plans. Working with key stakeholders to understand how data is required and used across UTS College and understand how data adds value through its lifecycle. Developing and delivering reports and data for visualisation dashboards in agreed timeframes. Developing, delivering and maintaining an ITDS cyber security strategy that protects UTS College from security threats and providing a framework to resolve security threats. Leading the development and implementation of cyber and information security strategies, solutions, policies and standards. Providing expert advice on the College security posture including tools, solutions and integrations for end-point security, hosting security, email security, gateway security, network security, encryption and cloud security. About You To succeed in this role you must have: Degree qualification (postgraduate desired) in Information Technology or related, or relevant experience. Broad knowledge of enterprise architecture, data, security and contemporary digital solutions. Strong understanding of higher education business capability models. Ability to communicate enterprise architecture and strategy concepts to individuals, with a focus on business value and benefit. Demonstrated understanding and experience across the IT project management lifecycle, design thinking concepts and agile methodologies, roadmap development and resource estimating. Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, particularly working cross-functionally and with teams across the organisation. High emotional intelligence, a growth mindset and excellent people leadership skills. Experience in using data and experimentation to drive product decisions and innovation. Working knowledge of ITIL processes and practices. What UTS College has to offer!
