We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Business Services Branch as the Manager Business Services! The role of Manager, Business Services, Business Services Branch is responsible for ensuring contemporary financial management/accounting, human resource, and procurement processes to enable the effective delivery of a Division's services. The successful person: We are seeking a highly skilled professional with proven expertise in the interpretation and application of contemporary financial management, human resource, and procurement legislation, policies, and frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to analyse and integrate information from diverse sources, using sound judgment to identify key issues in complex situations. Experience in leading, managing, and developing diverse teams in high-pressure environments is essential. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, with a demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate, and influence staff at all levels. They will also provide authoritative advice to senior management on a range of complex organizational issues and prepare detailed submissions, briefings, and reports. Your key responsibilities: Oversee the development and maintenance of all policies and processes/procedures relating to financial management and contract management. Lead the preparation of a Division's financial statement and other required departmental reporting requirements and identify and deliver improvements in the Division's finance capability and systems in alignment with contemporary practices and/or on direction from the Executive Leadership Team. Provide high quality support, advice, information and guidance on all matters detailed above to a Deputy Director-General for provision to the Executive Leadership Team and senior staff to enable informed investment decisions and effective financial management at a Divisional level. Deliver on agreed outcomes as determined in strategic, business and operational business plans. Constantly review and improve finance and human resource business processes and actively promote innovation to reduce waste and rework. Manage and coordinate systems/processes for strategic business management and financial service developments incorporating evidence-based practice and establishing mechanisms for the ongoing monitoring, reporting and evaluation of initiatives.
