Based in southern New South Wales, right near the Murray River, bordering Victoria and the local government areas of Albury, Federation, Lockhart, Snowy Valleys, and Wagga Wagga Councils. Greater Hume Children Services are an established early childhood education and care provider, dedicated to providing high-quality education and care in a nurturing, nature-based environment. Greater Hume has a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced early childhood professional to make a significant difference within Council's early childhood community. The Manager of Greater Hume Children Services is responsible for leading and overseeing the management of Council's Family Day Care and Centre-based Early Childhood Education and Care services. Services span across multiple sites and include four (4) Early Childhood Centres, Out of School Hours Care programs, Vacation Care programs, and Family Day Care services. The position is also responsible for the strategic, financial, and operational management of high-quality early childhood education and care services across the Greater Hume and surrounding regions. Criteria: Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education or equivalent Demonstrated experience and understanding of developing, managing, and monitoring budgets and financial reports Demonstrated business acumen coupled with the ability to identify and act on opportunities to deliver operational efficiencies and growth opportunities including the ability to initiate and respond effectively to change Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and the demonstrated ability to prepare detailed written reports and correspondence Demonstrated experience working in early childhood and/or family day care industry settings Demonstrated leadership managing a team across various locations Excellent skills in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively Hold and maintain a current Working with Children Check and a National Police Check. Salary and Hours The salary for this position is in the range of $128,500 to $144,000 gross per annum plus an 11.5% Council Superannuation contribution. The position is complemented by a 35 hour week across a 9 day fortnight and a Council vehicle on a leaseback arrangement.
