BreastScreen Tasmania provides free screening mammography every two years with the provision of annual screening to people in high-risk categories. This service sees women, and eligible trans and gender diverse people aged 40 and over, with 50–74 being the priority age group. BreastScreen operates at three fixed locations in Hobart and Launceston and in 34 regional and remote Tasmanian locations via two mobile screening units. The service conducts a Statewide multi-disciplinary clinical assessment service for clients for whom a mammographic abnormality has been found. As a result of free screening and assessment, the early detection of breast cancer has improved mortality and morbidity rates. The Role: Under the broad direction of the State Manager, BreastScreen Clinical Services, the Manager Client Services is responsible for the provision of effective, high level leadership and management of the statewide Client Services administration team providing support to the BreastScreen and the Diagnostic Breast Imaging services within Population Screening and Cancer Prevention. The Manager Client Services works collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders to provide quality and consistent administrative business processes associated with the client episode of care. This includes service planning, coordination, efficient and effective deployment of resources, advising, monitoring, and service evaluation to ensure business processes align with key performance indicators and targets. You will need: Provide high level operational leadership, advice and support to the Client Services administration team establishing effective business processes to consistently meet national accreditation standards, key performance indicators, and targets for the BreastScreen and the Diagnostic Breast Imaging services. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Client Services administration team statewide, including provision of services across the BreastScreen screening and assessment continuum and the Diagnostic Breast Imaging service (appointment scheduling, appointment booking, screening, assessment, film reading allocation, data entry and results) to maximise service outcomes. This includes collaboration with clinical staff and managing all elements of a complex call; recall and client booking system; including the statewide call-centre for BreastScreen client appointments; and complaints management. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders (clinical and non-clinical) to develop strategies and implement business processes to effectively manage and respond to service demand and meet client needs. As a member of the Population Screening and Cancer Prevention Executive, provide high level strategic advice and support to the State Manager Clinical and Group Director and other senior managers in relation to business processes pertaining to Client Services. Details of appointment: General Stream, Band 7 Permanent full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $128,102 to $134,832 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
