The Passenger Rollingstock and Signalling Branch is delivering and managing rollingstock and signalling projects that are innovative, integrated and accessible to meet the growing demand for rail services in South East Queensland. The Queensland Government's Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) was established to meet the increasing demand for rail transport in South East Queensland over the next 10 years. The QTMP will support South East Queensland's population and economic growth, as well as Cross River Rail and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Program will build 65 new six-car passenger trains at a purpose-built train manufacturing facility at Torbanlea, in the Fraser Coast region. As part of the program, a new rail facility for train maintenance and stabling will also be constructed at Ormeau, in the Gold Coast region. In June 2023, Downer was awarded the contract to deliver QTMP. In the role of Manager (Commercial and Contracts), you will manage the implementation, administration, review and monitoring of the commercial contract with a specific focus on the payment and performance regime for QTMP. You will be responsible for the development and provision of strategic advice and options concerning the performance of the QTMP contract and ensuring due diligence and accountability in relation to all contract payments. Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include: Lead and develop a team managing contracts, allocating resources, and supporting career development. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure contract compliance. Analyse contract performance and recommend strategies for improvement to senior executives. Lead contract negotiations, procure new services, and ensure clear contractual documentation. Develop and implement commercial strategies, monitor KPIs, and manage compliance and performance issues. Applications will remain current for 12 months.
