Manager Communities and Social Performance Be part of a global mining company striving for impeccable Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) credentials Deliver positive social outcomes for host communities Manage community commitments and harness opportunities throughout the asset's life cycle Build enduring relationships between our operation and communities, including with Traditional Owners and other stakeholders Permanent residential role based at Gove Operations, North East Arnhem Land, FIFO arrangements not available About the role We are looking for an experienced Communities & Social Performance (CSP) Manager , to lead CSP planning and activities across mining operations, major projects and closure.This is a great opportunity to lead and deliver best practice CSP and engagement activities to advance business strategy aimed at mitigating social risk and maximizing opportunities. Leading a team of CSP practitioners, you will develop and implement CSP strategies, strengthen capability and provide leadership in building meaningful relationships and partnerships both internally and externally.Reporting to the General Manager - Gove Operations, you will: Plan, implement and report on activities that enable the organisation to deliver its CSP strategy and objectives. Identify, negotiate, implement and maintain agreements, commitments, and/or partnerships to support the business and strengthen the communities where we operate. Build and maintain a deep knowledge base of communities, leveraging this expertise to foster mutual understanding and identify shared interests. Develop and maintain favourable relationships through strong engagement with the local community and stakeholders; facilitate relationships between asset leaders and external stakeholders. Manage and mitigate social risk and opportunities associated with our business activities. Facilitate the resolution of complex CSP situations and challenges. Empower and strengthen capability of CSP team members and business leaders to deliver an ambitious CSP Plan informed by the business' objectives and long-term aspirations of external stakeholders. Represent the business at community and industry gatherings or forums. Engage with the business on key technical CSP deliverables including responsible management of land and tenure, preservation of cultural heritage, supporting Indigenous participation and co-designing a positive long-term legacy for the site with key stakeholders. Ensure activities of team members are aligned to maintaining compliance with legal and other commitments, and company policy and standards relating to CSP.
