Your Team The role sits within the broader Information Security team and will report to the Senior Manager, Data and Information Governance. The Data and Information Governance team is responsible for enabling trusted data and information throughout the organisation through effective governance and adherence to CFS’s data management framework, standards and procedures. You will contribute to embed data management practices across CFS to support the strategic goals of the business with a mixed focus on short- and long-term outcomes. Your Responsibilities Monitor data risk controls and practices to ensure data management related activities are meeting required standards. Develop, implement and monitor reporting mechanisms for data governance and defined risk indicators to support compliance and highlight areas of exposure. Drive data stewardship function for CFS data domains in the execution of their data ownership responsibilities. Conduct Data Impact Assessments (DIA) in projects to ensure compliance with CFS standards and principles and facilitate the sign-off process. Additionally, provide guidance on managing any delivered data governance-related risks to closure. Provide expert advice on data governance to various stakeholders, including business units, projects and technical teams. Your Capability and Experience Minimum 3+ years’ experience ideally within a governance or risk function. Possess understanding and experience on one or more of these disciplines - data management related programs/projects, data governance, data risk management and data quality management. Strong understanding of how data is used to generate value and contribute to the business goals. Agile mindset with a can-do attitude. Ability to work in a structured and unstructured environment.
