Reporting to the Director Environment and Community and as an integral member of this team, the primary purpose of this role is to provide strategic advice, leadership, and management of a portfolio which includes NSW environmental performance and assurance, energy and greenhouse strategies, sustainability reporting, and research and development. Your accountabilities will include: Overseeing environmental performance and assurance of GCAA’s NSW operations. Assisting with the development and implementation of energy and greenhouse policy and strategies. Coordination of sustainability reporting. Contributing toward the continuous improvement of environment and social performance management within the organisation. With professional, effective leadership and communication skills, as well as relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or a related field, you will also have a thorough understanding of the NSW legislative process. A minimum of ten years in mining or heavy industry, as well as an ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise workload around critical issues, and build and develop strategic working relationships is required.
