About Islamic Bank Australia: Islamic Bank Australia has been granted a restricted banking licence, making us the first Islamic Bank in Australia and bringing financial inclusion to Australia’s rapidly growing Muslim population. Ultimately offering a full suite of retail and business banking services, we are focused on launching to market interest free, Shariah compliant personal banking products and achieving our full banking licence. About the role: Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, the Manager Finance and Reporting is responsible for maintaining the soundness and integrity of the Bank's financial position, and its long term financial sustainability. You will prepare medium and long term financial projections and scenario modelling against budgeting considerations and determining key financial sustainability ratios against prudential limits, financial policies and risk frameworks. You will also be responsible for establishing and overseeing internal controls over the bank's financial transactions, establishing control frameworks for the monitoring of ALM risks. Maintaining reliable and timely financial records and accounts relating to assets, liabilities, capital, reserves, income and expenditure of the Bank will be fundamental to the position. Over time, this role will lead a small team. You’ll thrive in this role if you bring the following skills and experience; Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or equivalent including a CPA or CA qualification. A knowledge of, or exposure to Islamic financial products, pool management and profit distribution process. Proven experience in a similar role in banking, preferably an Australian ADI. Significant financial management experience, including expertise in Australian accounting standards and relevant regulatory and legislative compliance requirements. Highly experienced in the use of a range of financial packages including Microsoft Office Suite and Access Experience in developing policies and procedures and associated financial controls and preparing financial statements Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal including the ability to effectively consult, negotiate and influence across a range of stakeholder groups Ability to build strong working partnerships and apply a pragmatic and outcome focused approach. Well-developed organisational and project management skills including ability to manage conflicting priorities to deadline and high work volumes without affecting quality of service delivery.
