Remuneration: ASO8 – Salary Range ($121,107 - $125,679 p.a.). The South Australian Government Financing Authority (SAFA) is the central financing authority, captive insurer and manager of the passenger and light commercial fleet operations for the Government of South Australia. It also provides extensive financial and commercial advisory services to the South Australian public sector. SAFA plays an integral role in the overall management of the State Government's finances and risks, harnessing economies of scale and expertise in financial and insurance markets to provide a range of treasury, insurance, commercial advisory and vehicle fleet management services. About the opportunity: The Manager, Financial & Management Reporting is accountable for leadership and direction of financial management and reporting functions within SAFA, including: Providing high quality and complex financial management and reporting services to SAFA, the Department of Treasury and Finance and client agencies. Ensuring the effective leadership and management of the Financial Management and Reporting function and the delivery of its accountabilities under the SAFA operational plan. About you: To be successful you will have: An ability to multitask and manage competing and complex priorities to deliver time critical reporting obligations. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both within and external to SAFA. Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Ensuring appropriate controls and checks are in place to enable SAFA’s ongoing compliance with financial reporting and regulatory obligations. Maintaining current knowledge of key accounting and regulatory standards. An appropriate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics majoring in Accounting.
