2x full-time contracts to 30 June 2026 Based at either Christies Beach or the city with travel across metropolitan Adelaide Lead a Foster Care team to deliver an integrated, culturally capable, child focused, trauma informed suite of services that embeds a practice culture Work in a leading not for profit organisation! Who are we looking for? We are seeking two experienced Practice Leaders to join our Foster Care Services team. In this role, you will oversee strategic operations, program improvements, and respond to environmental changes in the child protection sector. You will have the opportunity to shape and influence practice both within your team and across the sector, while improving outcomes and creating meaningful opportunities for children and young people in care. The Central Manager , based at Gilbert Street, will oversee assessments and training for foster carers to ensure they are well-prepared and supported, while also managing the placement of children and young people and coordinating after-hours responses. The Southern Manager , based at Christies Beach, focuses on providing ongoing support to foster carers and children in care, enhancing their wellbeing and ensuring positive outcomes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a practice leader with a passion for improving the quality of outcomes for children and young people in care. What can you expect to be doing? Embed advocacy for a culturally inclusive and safe service response to all children, young people, and families. Ensure the service supports children and young people’s participation in decision-making and case planning. Understand and embed culturally informed processes that consider situations, activities, decisions, and outcomes from the perspective of each stakeholder’s cultural background. Seek and access learning and development opportunities to build capability in providing safe, nurturing, and culturally responsive services to First Nations and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse children, young people, and families. Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of processes and practices. Ensure the voice of lived experience, in critical decision-making and in driving continuous improvement. What do you need to bring? Degree level qualification in a Human Services discipline: Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Allied Health. Leadership experience in child protection and out of home care services, and knowledge of child protection legislation, family violence sector, practices, and safeguards, including the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Placement Principles. Proven ability to work with First Nations communities, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, Newly Arrived, and emerging communities. Comprehensive understanding of trauma informed service responses. Who is AnglicareSA?
