The role We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to cover the role of WA/SA State Sector Manager (SSM) for our Geotechnics business. The role will provide leadership, co-ordination and strategic direction to the activities of the WA and SA region and support collaboration with the wider SMEC business. The role will be responsible for the growth, development and management of our WA and SA business. This is a key leadership role within our ANZ business and has the responsibility for strategy and P&L. With demonstrated experience and commercial acumen, you will play a key role in: Effective planning and management of the performance of the local team Undertake client relationship management and business development activities Provide project governance of project management in the local office to achieve reliable project performance in terms of sophistication, timeliness and quality Financial management, client liaison and contract administration of assigned projects Achieve sustainable growth of the group through targeted client relationship management and business development activity With support from regional management, provide leadership and development opportunities to the employees located in the local office to ensure cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development About you Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or a related discipline Demonstrated ability to actively manage and drive performance in diverse teams Strong geotechnical design, investigation and business development experience Thorough understanding of the local external Geotechnics Market and skills to translate this knowledge to projects and people. Previous experience providing leadership, supervision and mentoring of a high performing multi-disciplinary team Led multi-disciplinary projects successfully, to budget and client expectations High level commercial acumen Ability to strategically plan A track record of achievement in a similar role and a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work How to apply To apply, click on the "Apply Now" link and follow the prompts.
