Manager, Governance and Property Ongoing role, full time (flexibility may be available) Usual work location: 35 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (flexibility may be available) The Role The Manager, Governance and Property leads a team responsible for the administration, oversight and advice on governance and property management accountabilities of the Minister for Skills and TAFE in relation to Victorian public universities. This spans university property and land transactions, appointments to university councils, the ACFE, AMES Australia and ANAM Boards, and tabling of Victorian universities' annual reports. This work is undertaken in line with relevant legislation and guidelines, including the university Acts, the Victorian Government Appointment and Remuneration Guidelines and the Diversity on Victorian Government Boards Guidelines. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Developing well informed advice on a portfolio of property and governance matters. Providing employees with the leadership, information and guidance required to achieve outcomes. Initiating, managing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Team The position of Manager – Governance and Property forms a part of the ACFFE, Higher Education and Workforce (AHEW) branch within the Skills and Employment group. The AHEW branch brings together Adult Community Further Education (ACFE), Higher Education and Workforce and drives workforce skills response across the skills and employment ecosystem, creating practical linkages across pre-accredited learning and the community, vocational and higher education sectors.
