Your role at St John of God Geelong Hospital You will ensure the efficient and effective management of resources and services of Health Information, facilitate the delivery of a high level of customer service, the maintenance of health record systems and health information in accordance with accreditation standards and relevant legislation.You will have an important role working with the Hospital Management Committee to provide insights into activity and casemix for growth of services across the Hospital.You will work in close partnership with the Shared Health Information Services Centre on revenue assurance/optimisation, clinical documentation improvement, and process review/development to ensure accurate data submissions and coding KPIs are met.The Position Provide casemix analysis insight to support senior management decision making. Provide support and insights to the CDS team to assist with prioritisation of work. Lead the strategic and operational planning for Health Information Services (HIS), overseeing the continuous evaluation and improvement of HIS systems and processes within the hospital. Lead and manage HIS and administration caregivers, including recruitment and identification of training and development needs. Collaborate with the Shared HIS Centre to contribute to the development of standardised systems and processes to maintain hospital data integrity, and support group-wide projects as needed. Responsible for ensuring the privacy of information in the health record and the management of requests for information release for clinical, administrative, financial, insurance and legal purposes. Collaborate with the Shared HIS Centre to ensure all health records are scanned with the necessary information required for coding, in compliance with SLAs. Coordinate non-coding Health Fund audits and Health Fund queries when required. Qualifications You will have a Bachelor of Health Information Management, or equivalent qualification.
