The Role We currently have an opportunity to join our Finance team as a Manager, IT Audit in a permanent position. This opportunity is open to work from our Melbourne office in conjunction with our hybrid work from home options. The purpose of the IT Audit function is to provide independent and objective assurance to Senior Management, the Board and the Audit Committee on the effectiveness of MLCL’s risk management, control and governance processes. Your responsibilities will include: Plan, execute and report on IT audits, IT project assurance reviews and integrated audits, in accordance with the department’s audit methodology and professional standards. Function as a key player in determining audit scopes, executing audit testing, identifying and evaluating risks and control deficiencies. Prepare high quality audit findings and recommendations. Communicate audit findings and recommendations to audit stakeholders. Document audit workpapers, in accordance with the department’s audit methodology. Develop and maintain good working relationships with functional heads. Have a good understanding of the external environment and regulatory standards. Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified (risk accountability forms part of all roles, as everyone is responsible for managing risk and compliance). About you Professional certification and/or appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent work experience is desirable. 6+ years of technology audit experience either internal or external is ideal. Technical knowledge and skills in digital and other emerging technologies (AI, robotics, cloud etc.) is desirable. A deep understanding of governance, risk, and control principles. Experience in IT Security and technical reviews is preferable. Sound understanding of project management methodology, and some experience in project assurance is preferable. Proficient communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Curiosity, with the ability to navigate within a complex and continuously changing business environment.
