Job Description

We are seeking a Manager, Industry Engagement to join Industry Engagement, International and Business Development, Chancellery Division. The Manager, Industry Engagement (Engagement Programs) is a member of the Operations team within the Office of Industry Engagement and works closely with the Chief Commercialisation and Development Officer and the Industry Engagement business development teams to advance the priorities of the Office, including building the profile and recognition of researchers, research groups and initiatives and supporting funding bids and proposals. The position provides high level professional support and management of the Office of Industry Engagement’s training programs and engagement plan and is responsible for all associated internal and external communication channels in support of these events and activities. The International and Business Development Portfolio leads the university’s international outreach, industry engagement and philanthropic fundraising. What you need to succeed Completion of a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline area or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and activation, including event coordination and promotion, identifying opportunities and effectively working with a wide variety of audiences to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Proven leadership and management skills and experience in the delivery of engagement plans and training programs. Outstanding communication skills including the ability to write effectively and persuasively for a wide range of audiences, and the effective use of a range of digital platforms and channels. Highly developed interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work collegially and effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. A high level of self-motivation and initiative and proven expertise in providing creative solutions to problems. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment as part of a high performing team and provide excellence in service provision.
