Employment type: Full time 5 Year Performance Based ContractHours per week: 38Remuneration: Attractive salary with flexible working optionsLocation: Werribee based with potential for a hybrid work arrangementAbout the role As the Infrastructure PMO Manager you will be responsible for establishing and leading a high performing PMO that ensures successful planning, delivery and governance of infrastructure projects. This newly created role is pivotal in shaping the way we manage infrastructure investments, ensuring they align with our growth strategy, Council plan, policies and community needs. Key Responsibilities include: Having carriage of Wyndham’s Capital Delivery Improvement Roadmap to drive a One Wyndham approach to capital delivery ways of working, improve investment decisions making and governance, uplift program monitoring and reporting and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Oversee program governance, risk management and reporting to ensure transparency, accountability, strategic oversight and successful project outcomes. Collaborate with ELT, Councillors, planning and delivery teams, finance and asset managers across Council to align projects with strategic outcomes. Support capability building within Council by mentoring and development of project management methodologies. This position provides a unique opportunity to lead transformational infrastructure projects that directly benefit the Wyndham community, making a meaningful impact in one of Australia’s fastest-growing cities and largest Councils.About you We are looking for someone who sees the big picture, thrives on creating teams that work together to drive change and continuous improvement with a strong background in infrastructure project management and PMO leadership. You thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment, are motivated by the opportunity to make a tangible difference and achieve positive change for the community through improved infrastructure delivery performance and are comfortable working with Executive teams and Councillors/ Boards.What you will bring Senior leadership experience in building and leading diverse, inclusive and high performing teams in an infrastructure, construction, utilities or local government setting. Strong understanding of how capital programs are planned, developed and delivered including effective risk management and performance drivers. Proven experience in setting up or leading a PMO in an infrastructure, construction or government setting. Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, relevant field or relevant industry experience. Proven ability to apply strategic thinking and governance principles to guide decision making and drive successful outcomes. Proven track record of identifying opportunities for process enhancement and delivering creative, practical solutions. Proven ability to build relationships and communicate clearly. Skilled in fostering collaborative, high-performing teams.
