The ideal candidate will possess specialist knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and Victorian Government Purchasing Board policies, procedures and State Purchase Contracts including the ability to provide authoritative advice to the organisation on major tenders contracts and procurement activities. The Manager Major Procurements must work closely and effectively with Contracts & Procurement department team members and with internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver Fire Rescue Victoria's most significant procurement projects. What you will need to Succeed To be successful in this position, you will have: An appropriate CIPSA certification for procurement or equivalent. A university degree in a relevant field. Extensive experience in sourcing and contract management. Sound knowledge in best strategic sourcing practices and customer focused with excellent influencing and negotiating skills. Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and implement complex sourcing and contract management activities in compliance with Vic Government Procurement Guidelines. An ability to undertake complex and medium to high risk contract negotiations to achieve best outcomes.
