Qantas Freight is the integrated end-to-end air freight solution provider within the Qantas Group operating both domestically and around the world. Fuelled by the ever-increasing growth in eCommerce, the air freight business has changed fundamentally with significant opportunities for growth. As Manager - Network and Fleet , you will be responsible for assisting the design, implementation, and management of the Qantas Freight Network & Fleet strategy. You will analyse, monitor, and optimise network and fleet opportunities, with the goal of delivering positive outcomes for Qantas Freight. You will develop, recommend, and implement Qantas Freight network and fleet proposals based on business cases that balance commercial objectives whilst considering operational constraints through consultation and collaboration with commercial and operational stakeholders. You will also administer the successful program management of fleet entry into service projects associated with Qantas Freight. This significant program will work in partnership with multiple workstreams including Qantas Freight commercial teams, engineering, fleet trading as well as EFA operations teams. You will have: Extensive experience across several commercial and/or operational airline functional areas. Ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Highly developed analytical and financial skills with the ability to source and interpret data. Commitment to a collaborative approach to complex problem-solving. Requisite experience in Network Planning, Airline Operations, and/or Revenue Management. Expert understanding of the airline industry as well as the critical interdependencies which impact network strategy development. Prior people management experience and/or project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple large projects concurrently through to completion and implementation. Detailed understanding of airline economics and the drivers of cost. Lateral thinker with the intellectual capacity to quickly understand and apply new concepts. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Self-motivated, proactive and able to deal with ambiguity, complexity, and manage confidential information.
