THE ROLE: Austrade is seeking to hire a Manager of the North Asia Section of the International Relationships Branch in the Government and Policy Division.We are looking for an engaged, innovative and enthusiastic team player, keen to work in a diverse, cross-cultural workplace and build partnerships with colleagues across Austrade, governments and with industry in a fast-paced environment to produce tangible and practical outcomes.DUTIES INCLUDE: Working with Austrade’s global network as the interface between other government departments/agencies and Austrade’s business-facing teams onshore and offshore, you will: Lead and nurture a high-performing team and contribute to innovative, creative policy development, implementation and/or evaluation and review of trade and investment-related policies and programs. Use knowledge of government policy agendas and decision-making processes to influence and support the Government’s trade and investment priorities across government. Deliver analysis and policy advice to the Minister and Austrade Senior Executive on operating in an increasingly contested international business environment and on geo-strategic issues that impact Australia’s international trade and investment interests. Use your high-level knowledge of government policy agendas and decision-making processes and context to influence and support the Government’s trade and investment priorities across government. Deliver high-quality data-driven briefing, analysis and policy advice to the Minister and Austrade Senior Executive to inform and influence government deliberations and outcomes on trade and investment issues. Deliver Austrade activities including ministerial visits and events in alignment with the Government’s priorities.
