Manager Operations Roster (Flexible) – 6:3 or 4:5 FIFO Competitive Remuneration Fly to site from your point of hire, anywhere in the world The Role Perseus Mining are seeking a Manager Operations to join the mining team at its Sissingue site, based in West Africa. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will lead and mentor site mining, processing and maintenance functions ensuring a high standard of service delivery that contributes to the achievement of the mine's production targets in a safe, cost effective and timely manner. The candidate will act as the alternate site General Manager when they are absent from site.Key Responsibilities Provide safety leadership to all operations personnel Ensure the required standards of leadership and performance are provided to the Contractor and Operations Contribute to the definition of key performance parameters for all areas of responsibility. Define the processes for the achievement of these parameters. Act as Alternate General Manager for the operation during periods of R&R Coach, mentor and develop Mining, Processing and Maintenance leaders and teams in line with site objectives. About You Our ideal candidate will have:Minimum 15 years of mining experience, predominately surface mining in hard rock. Proven senior leadership experience in an open pit mining environment Experience in gold mining industry. Effective communication and leadership skills Demonstrated history of working with mining Contractors and driving performance outcomes. Ability to mentor and develop industry professionals. Demonstrated knowledge and application of business improvement approaches Desirable West African mining experience French language skills Where you’ll be working This position is based at Perseus’ Sissingué Gold Mine, located in the north of Côte d’Ivoire, near the Mali border. Since the mine was developed in January 2018, Sissingué has consistently exceeded expectations in production and efficiency, with potential for further growth through additional satellite deposits.About Us Perseus Mining is a growing African gold producer, developer, and explorer.
