Manager - Pastoral Care & Mission Integration Make a difference at one of Australia’s leading health care providers Generous salary packaging benefits, ongoing professional development and supportive team environment Location - VIC Permanent full-time opportunity (part-time/job share will be considered) Flexible working arrangements About the role Join us as the Manager – Pastoral Care & Mission Integration, where you will lead the charge in delivering compassionate and contemporary Pastoral and Spiritual Care in the cherished tradition of the Little Company of Mary. You will make a real impact in the lives of our residents, carers, and staff across Calvary's aged care homes and community services throughout Victoria. This position currently covers 12 aged care homes across the Northwest, Southeast and Gippsland areas so travel throughout regional Victoria will be required along with the capacity to work from home when not on-site in a facility. Allocation of other homes within the region will be considered. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape meaningful care in a way that goes beyond just service – it’s about connection, compassion, and community. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Mission: Develop and implement policies and practices to integrate mission and values across services, using the Mission Governance Framework to measure success. Drive education, benchmarking, and reporting on mission integration activities in line with the Mission Governance Framework. Lead celebrations of significant mission events such as Mary Potter awards, service anniversaries, and key calendar dates (e.g., NAIDOC week). Share the story of the LCM Sisters and Little Company of Mary Health Care, while supporting volunteer services in living the Spirit of Calvary ‘Being for Others’. Pastoral Care: Develop and manage Pastoral Care services in collaboration with the Regional Director of Mission and site managers, ensuring alignment with Calvary’s Pastoral Care Policy. Ensure the delivery of safe and effective pastoral care, incorporating clinical and corporate governance processes for reporting and continuous improvement. Oversee the Pastoral Care workforce, providing orientation, ongoing professional development, and supervision to ensure high-quality care. Foster partnerships with faith and cultural leaders to enhance spiritual care and educate staff, clients, and residents on the role of pastoral care services. Spiritual Care: Work with care staff to embed spiritual care within the broader Model of Care and Calvary Community Care services. Encourage and support reflective practice at all levels of the service. What you bring Experience and qualifications in pastoral/spiritual care and in one of the following areas: mission leadership, allied health, counselling, nursing or equivalent Experience in leading and managing a team(s) in a complex environment Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships through effective management of conflict, capacity to problem solve and make decisions, whilst maintaining personal integrity. Demonstrated ability to support people through times of transition and change, including end of life. Sound knowledge of the principles of Catholic health care, ethics and social justice teachings or willingness to develop such knowledge A demonstrated understanding of the philosophy and practice of contemporary pastoral care in an aged care setting Class C Driver’s Licence For further information please contact Karen Bolger, Regional Director of Mission, , 0456 581 437.
