About the Role You will lead a team of outstanding practitioners who provide pastoral and spiritual care to patients, families and staff across inpatient, residential and palliative care centres of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. The role will report into both the National Director, Pastoral Care St Vincent’s Health Australia, as well as the General Manager of Allied Health & Pharmacy St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. Your areas of responsibility include: Leadership of exemplary provision of pastoral and spiritual care services and chaplaincy Mission and values integration Continuous improvement in services, access and provision Interdisciplinary collaboration, team collegiality and professional confidentiality Workplace wellbeing and safety Your Contribution Minimum of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education, one at an Advanced level Demonstrated leadership experience in pastoral and spiritual care, preferably in a healthcare setting Tertiary qualification in ministry, pastoral care, theology or social science desirable Current Nationally Coordinated criminal history check, or willing to obtain What we offer A focus on wellbeing initiatives, with regular events and programs Confidential, solutions-focused employee counselling A healthy work/life balance encouraged. Practitioners and chaplains work in the acute, sub-acute, aged, palliative, correctional and mental health settings as part of collaborative interdisciplinary teams.
