SA Health Job reference: 893457Location: 5000 - ADELAIDEJob status: Long Term ContractEligibility: Open to Everyone Preventive Health SA – Aboriginal Health and Health Equity – Priority Populations Salary: $ 121,107 to $125,679 – ASO8 – Full Time / Term Contract up to 30 January 2026 Overview: The Manager, Priority Populations is responsible for the management of the Priority Populations team to meet the objectives of the Aboriginal Health and Health Equity division, including supporting implementation of Preventive Health SA’s strategic objectives, the South Australian Public Health Act, 2011, and other key health strategies and related planning within financial constraints. The role is required to strategically engage with the whole of State Government, Commonwealth Government, Non-Government sector and Local Government to lead and support the development and delivery of statewide targeted prevention and health promoting initiatives across the life course, including chronic disease prevention and wellbeing with a priority focus on improving health equity. This role will collaborate with other Preventive Health SA Divisions to provide knowledge and experience in delivering strategies for key population groups (e.g., Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and LGBTIQA+ populations). Appointment Requirements: Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements. Criminal History Screening Requirement: A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment). Immunisation Risk: Category C (minimal patient contact). SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
