About the Role Santos is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager, Procurement Excellence to drive procurement excellence across our business. This key leadership role is responsible for delivering best-in-class procurement systems, processes, policies, and tools while supporting our overall business strategy. The Manager, Procurement Excellence will provide the direction and leadership needed to elevate Santos' procurement and supply chain capabilities, ensuring we remain competitive and responsive to industry needs. The primary objective of this position is to drive technical excellence within the Procurement function and across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the General Manager, Procurement to create a world-class procurement and supply chain organization that aligns with corporate strategies and objectives. Define and implement the Procurement Vision for Santos, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals and priorities. Lead the development of procurement/supply chain capabilities to provide a competitive edge in the market. Coordinate strategic supplier management, building relationships, scheduling reviews, developing templates, and managing executive communications. Ensure our global procurement is connected through the coordination of strategic category plans linked to the long-term plans of the company. Foster a culture of continuous professional development within the procurement community, including initiatives like communities of practice, learning programs, and internal events. Lead the stewardship of Santos' ESG agenda, driving initiatives in local industry, indigenous, and social procurement, as well as modern slavery improvements. Oversee all SAP and Coupa modules related to Sourcing & Contracting, working closely with the Manager, Supply Planning to ensure seamless integration across procurement functions. Provide data analysis and market intelligence to drive informed decision-making and benchmark performance within the Procurement function. Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to drive procurement initiatives and ensure alignment with operational and financial goals. About You Demonstrated experience in a Supply Chain role (e.g., Scheduling, Planning, Contracts, Purchasing, Logistics). Advanced analytical and data management skills using Excel and other business tools. Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and leadership. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Business, IS, Law, Engineering, Commerce) or equivalent experience. Formal exposure to Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
