Full time temporary role available in the North Coast Regional Delivery Team, up until February 2026 with possible extension. Port Macquarie based role (Lismore or other North Coast areas may be considered subject to an approved NSW Reconstruction Authority office) with flexible work options and hybrid arrangements available. Clerk Grade 11/12 Salary ($145,378 - $168,130 per annum) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. We are looking for a Manager Regional Delivery to support a small team that serves as a key local contact for the Authority, delivering projects and initiatives that drive and support community-centred recovery, and lead the change required to reduce the impact of disasters. This role will build strong relationships with local governments and stakeholders to incorporate local knowledge, disaster risks, and community priorities into the Authority’s work. About The Role As the Manager Regional Delivery, you will: Build and manage key relationships across the North Coast region with local and regional stakeholders, including local governments, to enhance disaster risk management and community engagement. Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Drive the delivery and provide support to programs at the local level, including disaster grants, community recovery services, preparedness, and social recovery initiatives. Monitor and support communities through disaster recovery and risk reduction projects, ensuring programs are effective and community driven. Act as a conduit between local communities and decision-makers in the Authority, ensuring local disaster risks, needs, and priorities are considered in policy and program development. Collect, organise, and provide data and insights on community needs to support disaster risk reporting, program evaluation, and continuous improvement. Lead and collaborate with combat agencies and local governments in disaster impact assessments and mitigation planning. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and lead a team. Strong leadership skills with the ability to operate effectively under pressure in politically sensitive and high-profile environments. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local government and community representatives. Experience in natural hazards programs, disaster and emergency management. Experience in coordinating disaster recovery services, administering grants, and facilitating community support programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess disaster risks and support evidence-based decision-making. A strategic mindset with the ability to advocate for local and regional needs in disaster risk planning and response. Essential Requirements Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field. About The Agency The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster. To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, NGOs, businesses, and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.
