About the team The AIS Operations Group delivers end-to-end ownership and visibility of the ASC facilities and campus experience for athletes, coaches, sporting participants, National Sporting Organisations (NSOs), National Sporting Organisations for People with a Disability (NSODs), community groups, and the public. The Group manages all commercial operations, facilities management, and the delivery of performance camps, sports camps, and events and leads the Site Strategy Program. About the role You will lead and manage Security Operations across ASC sites, delivering the physical, protective, and electronic security controls that maintain a robust security environment for the protection of the ASC’s official assets, resources, staff, NSO/NSODs, residents, and visitors. You will ensure efficient and effective operational and service excellence by: Providing overall management for the Security Section across ASC Sites, which includes: Managing a seven-day-a-week operating environment, including the operation and administration of ASC security functions, such as employee performance and training needs; coordination of contract security personnel; staff; athletes; and public safety and property protection; Providing the overall management for the maintenance and administration of the electronic security access control systems and software programs, to ensure quality assurance of activity records and the integrity of the systems; Development and management of policies, procedures, and practices to support the integrity of the security systems and associated infrastructure, including keys, key fobs, and identification cards; Oversee and manage ASC Emergency Management. As Chief Warden, you will lead the ASC Emergency Control Organisation (ECO), and contribute to the management of emergencies through the provision of expert advice and support, including the development, implementation, and delivery of emergency training programs for wardens across ASC Sites; Managing contracts and associated external relationships, to ensure contractual terms are met, and efficient and effective service standards are delivered. As Chief Warden, you will be available to respond to and/or escalate Emergency or Security related incidents as required. Work as part of an on-call roster, 3 days a week. Assist in the review, development, and implementation of security related policies, procedures, guidelines, and other resources that deliver business outcomes for the ASC. Actively promote and role model the ASC values of Excellence, Integrity, Respect, and Teamwork, and contribute to positive organisational change, effective communication, and continuous improvement at the ASC. Work collaboratively as part of a high performing team, establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to lead and deliver high quality business outcomes. Under approved direction, perform official investigations into security breaches, which may involve dealing with children and athletes on-site, and reporting outcomes to the Chief Security Officer, other responsible delegates, and the Security Committee. Assist in the delivery of quality advice and reporting on relevant issues to senior management. About you Our Ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in Government Security, including Venue/Facilities/Campus Security, Government Investigations, and Risk Management. Demonstrated experience with security technology including access control, CCTV systems, and key management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Demonstrated experience in Government security policy and procedural writing and review. Ability to provide timely, compelling, and concise advice to inform executive team members and senior management to support decision making. Demonstrated experience in managing financial resources, risk management, procurement, and project planning. Ability to balance competing priorities in a calm and effective manner whilst remaining solution-oriented and customer-focused. Hold a valid driver’s licence. Hold or be willing to obtain a Certificate IV or above in Government Investigations. Hold or be willing to obtain Chief Warden certification.
