About the role As a Manager at HealthConsult, you’ll contribute to projects shaping the future of health and aged care in Australia. Your day-to-day work will involve conducting and overseeing financial and economic analysis, developing business cases, and designing cost collection methods or funding models to support policy and funding decisions. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative data collection methods that will inform management accounting and financial analysis. Client engagement is central to your role—you’ll lead meetings with government stakeholders, present financial and/or economic insights that inform policy and program impacts. Your expertise will be key in preparing reports that guide funding decisions and quality improvements in health and aged care. Managing multiple projects, you’ll ensure high-quality delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints, often working on initiatives that impact millions of Australians accessing health and aged care services. As part of your leadership role, you’ll also mentor and support emerging consultants at HealthConsult, helping to build future sector leaders. About you You have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. finance, economics, accounting, commerce, or business), with a postgraduate qualification desirable. You are a member of a relevant professional body (i.e. CPA or CA). You have 6-8 years of work experience in a financial analysis/accounting role, preferably within a major hospital, aged care provider, public sector department or insurer, with experience in a consulting role highly desirable. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to see the big picture. You are an experienced project manager, with strong team leadership skills. You have excellent knowledge of the health and aged care sectors.
