Job Description This is a 12 month fixed term contract The Role The Strategy & Transformation (S&T) team at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) supports the development and execution of a clear and robust strategy to achieve the goals of the College, with a deliberate focus on member value, financial sustainability and operational efficiency. The Manager, Strategy & Planning (MSP) will lead the strategy development process, including facilitating executive level strategy workshops, consultation with members and employees, and performing analysis to inform the College’s Strategic Plan. The role plays a critical part in gathering input from teams and leaders to ensure the strategy process can be data-driven and defensible. There will also be direct leadership and active work on validating possibilities through market sensing and consultation with members and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities include: Overall responsibility for the end-to-end development and execution of the strategic planning process, leveraging inputs from Growth and Efficiency initiative and external support where required. Partner with the Strategy Advisor and Head of Strategy & Transformation (HoS&T) to shape and support the design and facilitation of Senior Leadership Team (SLT) workshops to ensure alignment. Lead the collection and synthesis of data related to the College’s services, in collaboration with the EGM Shared Services & CFO to integrate cost-to-serve analysis and future-state modeling into the strategy. Organise and lead team workshops to gather information requirements for key inputs such as the service catalogue, existing performance data, metrics and future state governance, prioritisation and escalation frameworks. Develop and execute consultation plans for engaging employees, members, the Board, College Council, and SLT, as well as external stakeholders as required, appreciating that different parties may be leading the consultation. Prepare high-quality materials for workshops, consultations, and meetings, including briefing packs that synthesise key insights, highlight risks, and address potential information gaps. Collaborate with Senior Leaders to draft and refine partnership and sponsorship plans that align with strategic priorities and College objectives, partnering with the College Dean. Desired Skills and Experience The Successful Candidate The role requires someone who has experience in a leadership role in health, education or a professional association.
