Manager, Student Advisory Services - South East Region Education (Organisation site)South East Region - School and Regional Operations and Performance Division An exciting opportunity exists for a temporary full-time Manager, Student Advisory Services to lead and coordinate a diverse portfolio in the Student Services team within the South East Regional Office. The Manager will support a range of teams to provide service to schools for students with a disability or additional support requirements. The Manager role will work closely with the Director Student Services and other leadership staff to coordinate multi-disciplinary services, achieve departmental outcomes and support Equity and Excellence for all. About the Role: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide management, leadership and support for the Principal Education Officer, Student Services team. Support communication and collaboration with Central Office stakeholders to provide regional connection for the Principal Advisors Auslan, Advisory Visiting Teachers and Therapy and Nursing supervisors. Provide leadership and coordination of the South East Region's approach to managing individual student support requests through local One Line processes, and the region's allocative processes for regional adjustment resourcing for students with disabilities. Identify opportunities to enhance systems and processes for enhanced service provision. Highly desirable skills and experience: Experience in making complex decisions and the provision of advice to senior management on key and emerging issues while considering the policy and procedure. Management skills and the ability to determine resource allocations, manage staff and resources, formulate policy initiatives and develop corporate strategies. Knowledge of Human Resource and Financial management operations. Knowledge of the department of education's reasonable adjustment resourcing model. Liaison and communication skills to enable the effective resolution of complex organisational issues, including the capacity and ability to negotiate or communicate on behalf of South East Regional office with various stakeholders. Leadership skills and the ability to build capacity in others, as well as lead through change. Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
