The Manager Workforce Strategies leads a team responsible for the delivery of strategic workforce projects and continuous improvement including workforce and succession planning, Equity Diversity and Belonging, culture and organisational change, aligning HR performance to the Department’s strategic objectives. As the Manager Workforce Strategies, you build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing leadership and fostering an environment of trust and commitment to always delivering excellent customer service. This is a permanent full-time position. This recruitment process may be used to fill future similar roles that arise across the WA public sector in the next 12 months. Our Perth office is located in the Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail, close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services. To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate: Knowledge of and experience in leading the development, implementation and reporting of workforce and diversity plans, strategies and policies and improvements of HR operations through effective stakeholder engagement and aligning HR performance to the Department’s strategic objectives. Well-developed project management and change management skills. Substantial experience in managing a team, providing professional leadership, mentoring and support. A university degree or post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline such as human resource management, organisational psychology, business management and/or public sector management is desirable. Core leadership behaviours outlined in Leadership Expectations are applicable to this role and should be demonstrated in the context of Leading Others.
