Manager of Business Unit 5D Manufacturing Laundry Cessnock Correctional Centre Location – Cessnock Correctional CentreEmployment Type – Ongoing 5D, Full-Time roleSalary – $133,459pa + Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading Your Role We are currently seeking an experienced Manager who is a logical and strategic thinker with robust trade and business management experience within the Manufacturing and Laundry industry. As part of this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the Business Unit to ensure productivity, efficiency, and other commercial objectives are achieved. You will need to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and staff as well as assist with business development. The role requires: Supervision and management of staff and inmates by appraising performance of the business unit and offering counsel and feedback to ensure that the organisational outcomes are achieved. Strong time management and computer skills. Experience working in a high-pressure environment and managing to deliver key business objectives within set timeframes. Willingness to work across all trade units as required. Manage resources and budget efficiently and effectively to achieve planned outcomes by business units. Maintaining duty of care and complying with WHS safety requirements to sustain a safe work environment for staff, inmates, contractors, and visitors. What we’re looking for As a standout candidate, you will have: Experience demonstrating the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description. Ability and willingness to work across various trades as required. Proven experience in quality management and Business management software, such as Pronto or a similar business management reporting system. Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or willingness to obtain within set timeframes (12 Weeks paid training). Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role. Relevant trade qualifications: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or related food production qualification. Tertiary Management qualification highly desirable but not essential.
