The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance was formed on July 1, 2003 as a partnership between Listowel Memorial Hospital and Wingham and District Hospital. We share a common management structure with one CEO. We have a commitment to partnership and common Mission, Vision and Values. The Alliance Board consists of both hospital boards combined. We look for opportunities to create and share services and programs across our two communities and to look for creative ways to link to our community partners.The Listowel Memorial Hospital has been providing acute care and complex continuing care services to the residents of North Perth and the hospital’s catchment area since 1919. Our fully accredited hospital offers a wide range of primary and secondary services including 24-hour emergency services, in-patient and out-patient care, specialist clinics, and supportive diagnostic services. The Hospital has an active staff of 10 Family Practitioners as well as several consultant staff.Hospital services include: Emergency, Operating Rooms, Diagnostic and Ambulatory Care Units (December 2007) Maternal/Newborn Unit Diabetes/Nutrition Counseling Speech-Language Physiotherapy Breast Health Centre Fully integrated electronic patient health record with Family Health Team and Physician offices. The Wingham and District Hospital is a modern, progressive acute care facility providing medical, surgical, obstetrical, paediatric, chronic and rehabilitation bed and other services, including 24-hour emergency coverage.Hospital services include: Emergency department with 24-hour on-call coverage Rehabilitation department including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology Multiple outpatient specialist clinics held on a regular basis to provide local service Affiliation with London Regional Cancer Centre enabling chemotherapy treatment to be provided locally Many community health related education programs Fully integrated electronic patient health record with Family Health Team and Physician offices. Position: Manager of Clinical Services Region: Huron and Perth Description: The Manager of Clinical Services is a member of the Leadership Team and represents the vision, mission and values of the Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance (LWHA). The Manager of Clinical Services works in collaboration with staff, professional staff, patients/families, and the members of the Leadership and Senior Executive Teams. This position is responsible for managing the day to day clinical operations of the LWHA Surgical Services and Ambulatory Care Programs as well as the Listowel Emergency Department. The Manager utilizes systems and controls, effective leadership skills/behaviours, and change management strategies to achieve expected standards of quality, efficiency and safety in the care of people served by the Alliance.This is a temporary, full-time position that is anticipated to begin immediately and extend through March 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be available 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday with on-call duty as required.Responsibilities: Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and understanding of quality improvement theory/methodologies Experience in leading projects/initiatives and application of successful change management strategies through project goal setting, measurement, and intervention development and testing Experience with leading investigations Experience with managing patient complaints Experience with chairing and leading committees Knowledge of LWHA’s patient feedback processes Knowledge of Accreditation Canada process Demonstrated ability to collaborate with patient partners and implement patient centered initiatives to improve patient experience Knowledge of LEAN principles, demonstrated leadership skills Knowledge of applicable legislation and professional standards Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships, engage team members, and manage conflict effectively Strong organizational skills, demonstrated skill in financial analysis and management Demonstrated skill in program development, implementation and evaluation Experience in successful people management including mentoring and performance management Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team Ability to learn, teach, monitor, update and utilize all aspects of a safety reporting computer program Demonstrated success in implementation of patient safety initiatives; experience with data analysis, report generation, root cause analysis Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Masters preparation preferred 5 years’ experience of progressive leadership in acute care Minimal physical effort Extensive degree of mental effort and analysis Salary: $55.04 - $68.80 (5 step grid based on experience) Terms of Employment: Temporary, full-time Deadline for Application: Friday, January 31, 2025 How to Apply: Interested applicants are asked to apply, in writing, complete with full resume, indicating their qualifications and pertinent skills by email to: Human ResourcesListowel Wingham Hospitals AllianceE: Your submission must be received by 1pm on the deadline date.
