An opportunity to join our team: Manager of Compliance The Manager of Compliance is a key leadership role within the State Secretariat, responsible for implementing and upholding the Party’s commitment to adherence to electoral legislation. Reporting to the State Director, your day-to-day responsibilities include process design, implementation and review, education of stakeholders, and process audits to ensure activities of the Party are compliant. The electoral environment continues to evolve, and the Liberal Party is committed to high-quality outcomes. The Manager of Compliance will be responsible for coordinating stakeholders, understanding the legislative and constitutional environment, and ensuring activities are within the frameworks established. The environment is professional and dynamic. High levels of accuracy and discretion are critical while maintaining a positive and proactive approach to supporting the requirements of the organisation. Ideally based in the Secretariat’s Launceston office, this position can be offered on a full-time or part-time (0.8 FTE) basis. Do you have: Highly developed written and communication skills, including previous experience preparing complex reports Demonstrated experience with compliance and governance, working with a range of legislative and regulatory requirements Proven capacity to apply appropriate judgement, initiative and discretion Capacity to organise and complete tasks and deliver client outcomes under conflicting time pressures The ability to work autonomously, set priorities and manage a variable workload The ability to live our organisation's values The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in compliance and governance, and may have a background in law, accounting, audit or process management.
