Join us and make a difference every day. About The Role As we expand, we're seeking a dynamic Manager of People and Employee Relations to lead our employee relations initiatives. Reporting to the Head of People Experience, this role is dedicated to building robust and effective relationships with managers and employees to support the development of eQuality Support’s desired culture. This is an ideal position for a less experienced ER Manager or for an ER Advisor ready to step into their first manager role. What will I be doing? At a High Level You Will Be: Developing and implementing proactive ER strategies that foster a positive high performance work environment. Providing expert advice on the awards systems and workplace policies to mitigate risk. Providing coaching, advice, and guidance on employee relations matters, including award application and interpretation across all agreements ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation. Leading investigation processes related to ER concerns, ensuring timely and fair resolution consistent with employment legislation and company values. Case managing ER/IR matters through to resolution, including applications in external tribunals. About You You are an experienced ER professional with 3+ years of experience, managing cases with a strategic and pragmatic approach. You excel in supporting leaders and are comfortable pivoting priorities to meet organisational needs. Your strong communication skills, employee relations expertise and commercial mindset enables you to confidently advise leaders, driving positive outcomes for both the organisation and its employees. Ability to adapt and pivot between day-to-day tasks with longer term strategic projects. Essential Technical Skills Qualifications in law, industrial relations, or human resources. Previous experience in an ER or Employment Law advisory role. Extensive knowledge of Australian employment law and compliance with National Employment Standards (NES). Confidence in interpreting awards and navigating complexity across a diverse workforce. Experience in handling matters before Fair Work Commission. Experience in end-to-end case management. Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft applications and other online platforms. Current Victorian driver’s license and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be prepared to obtain one). Desirable Experience within the Social, Community, Home Care, and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 is preferred. Note: This is a new function in development (2025). Further small changes to the business unit and the role of Manager may be implemented over time.
