Managing Consultant, Organisational Improvement (Higher Education) If you are passionate about the Higher Education sector, then we have an exciting new senior role that might be just right for you! Heading into our 17th year of operation, DVE continues to grow in size and reputation, offering support to universities, HEPs and VET providers. We are looking for someone experienced in Higher Education who can work with clients, stakeholders, and partners, supporting project activities. Each project offers unique challenges, providing opportunities to further develop your skills and gain hands-on experience with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be proficient at finding, gathering and presenting information with a level of autonomy, intellect and problem-solving ability. This role will see you working on a variety of activities from organisational change and restructure support, running workshops, reviews across student lifecycle activities, strategy and planning support, and process re-design, mapping and improvement amongst others. You will also lead and develop a small team of dedicated organisational improvement consultants and contractors to meet client needs and grow the business. You will be involved in recruiting, training, and coaching high quality consultants to work on DVE projects. Your skills as a motivator and leader of people will be critical to your success. Critical thinking and the ability to inspire the team to identify innovative solutions will be essential. This is a flexible role, based out of any state with reasonable travel to clients. Our projects across the sector cover the following business lines: Digital Transformation – working with partners and our own products to implement digital solutions in curriculum management, credit management, WIL, placements, timetabling, and student management. Governance & Compliance – offering client support and expertise in TEQSA and ASQA registration and re-registration, risk management, ESOS, CRICOS and course accreditation. Organisational Improvement – working with clients to drive efficiencies in process, implement change and improve the student experience. Your role will involve: Leading the team in DVE’s Organisational Improvement business line. Delivery of Organisational Improvement projects through our people, process, partners and stakeholders. Consulting directly with client teams, advising on their needs and developing solutions to achieve desired outcomes. Leading and contributing to the delivery of projects while ensuring quality and service standards are met, and that project deliverables are timely executed. Undertaking key project activities such as advisory sessions / workshops, reviews, developing operational and strategic plans, as well as other documents such as policies, procedures and process maps. Managing, coaching and growth of team members within the business line. Leveraging the existing team of consultants and DVE experience as well as further developing the team and capability to sustainably deliver value to our growing client base. Working in a collaborative international team environment with flexible, remote, and technology-based work practices. Driving the growth of the business line by building client and sector relationships and developing market leading solutions. Collaboration with DVE’s leadership and senior consultants to identify key clients, assess market potential and lead focused business development efforts. Product development, proposal writing and fee estimating to win new business. Leading the development of thought leadership in Education through written material, speaking engagements, continual learning, and client resource development. Provide service excellence by determining client needs by supplementing standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches. Support the development and implementation of the growth strategy of the business line and on other growth projects at DVE. Utilising your communication skills to support service delivery and present outcomes and recommendations, deepening your client relationships and industry knowledge. Ensuring achievement of revenue, utilisation, and productivity targets for your area of responsibility. You have (selection criteria): Experience in Higher Education. A proven ability to manage, coach, grow, and inspire teams. Strong communication skills and ability to manage and inspire successful team members. The ability to interpret and manage budgets and financial information. A demonstrated passion and interest in the Education sector, with a track record of strong performance and impact. A solution focussed approach to deliver outcomes to problems via development and delivery of exceptional proposals and reports. The ability to manage a portfolio of concurrent projects and activities. The ability to network effectively and to successfully influence key decision makers. Demonstrated sense of entrepreneurship and business growth. The following experience will be highly regarded: A university degree or higher. Provision of advice and other recommendations to clients in a consulting capacity through presentations, written reports and reviews. Client-centric, with a passion for engaging with key clients. Digitally connected and networked. Specific business development experience, including opportunity spotting, consultative approach to solution finding, proposal writing. About DVE We know Education!
