Job description: $117,386 per annum plus Superannuation Two positions. Both Full time, Fixed term to 29th March 2026 WorkSafe Geelong Headquarters (Hybrid – 3 days office attendance per week) About the role The Marketing team is responsible for researching, developing, delivering and evaluating WorkSafe's mass awareness culture and behaviour change campaigns that address a variety of occupational health and safety issues. The Marketing Communications Adviser works with the Senior Marketing and Communications Advisers and Manager, Marketing along with the broader External Affairs Division to deliver marketing campaigns and ensure consistency and integration of programs and messages. The role will support the integration of key learnings from research and analytics processes in all relevant external communications and brand marketing activities. Key accountabilities include: Assisting the Advisors and the Manager, Marketing to plan and develop targeted ‘through–the–line’ evidence–based campaigns in line with business objectives and priorities including behaviour change, awareness and promotional campaigns. Collaborate across the business to fully understand initiatives, issues and implications, ensuring that marketing solutions support business objectives and are in line with WorkSafe’s values. Collaborate with the Social Research team to ensure all activities are evidence-based and thoroughly evaluated and that insights are effectively translated into marketing activity. Work with external suppliers such as creative, media buying, graphic design, print and direct marketing agencies to ensure delivery of marketing and communications activities within agreed time and budget parameters. Work with the Senior Marketing and Communications Advisers to ensure effective internal and external stakeholder engagement through relationship building and liaison with identified stakeholder groups. About you You are an experienced Marketing and Communications professional who wants to make a difference. Your excellent stakeholder engagement skills allow you to quickly develop relationships, both within and external to our organisation. You are a team-oriented person who enjoys working in a fast-paced and issues-rich environment. You will have: Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate issues or messages clearly, simply and effectively to a range of audiences. Experience in media planning and buying and strong knowledge of media reporting measurements across traditional and digital media. Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships, with highly developed influencing and negotiation skills. Demonstrated experience in a similar role in an issues-rich environment.
