Join this Leading Independent Australian Publisher • Rare opportunity for a remarkable Marketing Designer • State of the art new office (Collingwood) | Part-time perm role Hardie Grant is a leading Australian independent publisher specialising in illustrated non-fiction, fiction, kids, travel and lifestyle titles, complemented by a dynamic portfolio of overseas publishers. We are now seeking an exceptional Designer to develop and deliver industry benchmark assets (print and digital) for our Publishing marketing and publicity teams. Reporting to the Group Head of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Designer is responsible for creating visually engaging assets, videos and animations for multichannel use and social and digital content to promote our brilliant books. Core skills required to succeed in this role include: Graphic Design Expertise – Strong ability to create visually compelling digital and print marketing assets, including advertisements, sales materials, and point-of-sale displays. Video & Animation Production – Experience in designing animated videos, GIFs, and motion graphics for online campaigns, book trailers, and social media. Social & Digital Content Creation – Skilled in developing engaging content for social media, email campaigns, websites, and digital ads. Software Proficiency – Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects), Canva, and other design tools. Collaboration & Communication – Strong ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, publicity, and publishing teams to align design assets with marketing objectives. Project Management & Multitasking – Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. About you: You are a creative and detail-oriented designer with a passion for storytelling through visual content. With a strong background in graphic design, you excel at creating compelling digital and print assets that engage audiences and drive marketing success. Your expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other design tools enables you to craft high-quality visuals while maintaining brand consistency. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects while ensuring attention to detail and delivering exceptional work. Your skills in video and animation production, as well as social and digital content creation, allow you to bring innovative ideas to life across various platforms. A proactive and future-focused thinker, you stay ahead of design trends and bring fresh, creative solutions to the table. Collaboration is at the heart of your work, and you enjoy working closely with stakeholders to align design assets with strategic goals. This is a permanent part time opportunity (3 days/21 hours per week) based in Cremorne and then in our new state-of-the-art office in Collingwood (office move scheduled for March 2025).
