Marketplace Marketplace is fundamentally responsible for leading, managing, and inspiring the investment team to deliver Purple standard implementation and trading practices. We are looking for a Group Investment Director to work with one of our biggest clients, market leaders in the FMCG space. This role is based in Sydney. Responsibilities Engage with our media partners to retain rich knowledge of the media landscape and a deep understanding of core media principles and the capabilities of each media touchpoint. Engage with internal product teams including GroupM proprietary product and service teams to ensure you have an understanding of their offerings and relevance to our clients. Confident in your knowledge of media planning principles and strong ability to utilize agency and industry tools to enhance and support planned recommendations. Able to construct and present robust implementation plans grounded in strategic priorities. Brings innovation and creativity to the table, leveraging insights from across the market. Develop future-fit, market-leading investment strategies for your clients to fuel growth for their business. Ensure client investment deliverables are met consistently across all touchpoints. Responsible for ensuring all financial and compliance processes are followed with 100% accuracy, including bookings and loadings. Responsible for the overall delivery of client trading KPIs. Seek to find, communicate and implement improvements in all aspects of the role. Deliver a well-informed POV in every meeting, providing innovative strategic insights by acting as an expert in your craft. Establish an understanding of client challenges, objectives & initiatives. Help build on the agency’s reputation for outstanding client service. Build strong and enduring client relationships at a senior level. Help to provide innovative strategic insights by acting as an expert on the client’s business, industry, and competitors. Seek out reformist ways to keep clients informed on relevant developments and changes to the media landscape. Clear understanding of the in-scope services of your clients and the process for completing work above and beyond. Review your team’s training needs to ensure their career plans are aligned with their progression. Responsible for training and development of all members of the team. Responsible for overseeing workflow between all members of the team and escalating any issues. Experience You will have considerable career experience across major agency and channel-related topics, including leveraging deep experience of application to deliver advanced client and brand outcomes. This will be underpinned by 8 – 12 years of experience in media agencies or the broader media industry using SME tools, techniques, and processes.
